The Station’s main ministry focus is to raise up a movement of young adult men and women to serve as missionaries to Denton, TX and reach the dechurched and unchurched college students and twenty-somethings in our community with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. And it’s working.
But in giving the majority of my time to serving as a missionary, l have to rely heavily on outside financial funding and support.
Consider this:
- As we stay unswervingly faithful to our first calling, that is connecting unchurched and dechurched people to Christ, we are faced with the reality that that these new Christians have no experience or discipline in giving of their first fruits.
- I am called to serve a specific demographic of young men and women birthed in a "me" focused, overextended culture. Many are so unaccustomed to sacrifice that they mistakenly feel they are unable to give at all, not even a little bit.
- And even as the core members of our group mature remarkably in their own level of giving, a large portion of our ministry is still focused on university students. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing hasn’t--college kids are still notoriously broke.
Don’t be fooled. You may not be able to hit the streets with me in Denton, but we are definitely on this mission together. Your stewardship will be an integral role in growing this movement.
Here’s how:
- Your financial support encourages me and it lets me know that I’m not alone in this. I believe that the life I’ve been devoted to is truly making a difference in people's eternities, and it means so much to me to know that others believe in it too.
- It allows real, life changing ministry to happen through the Station. We have a meeting space that we need to pay rent on. We have people we need to meet with regularly all over the metroplex. And we have members in our community we want to bless in tangible ways. Your support makes all of this possible.
- It ensures that I have just enough food to eat and that I can cover all of my other living expenses.
I believe with my whole heart that this is God's calling for my life right now, but I also know that I can’t do any of this without relying on His awesome grace and your support. So between now and the end of 2010 I am going to ask for something big. I need to raise all the funds it’ll take to make this ministry run for the next year. It’s a big goal, I know, but we have an even bigger God. My goal is to raise a total of $12,000 in the next two months, and any amount you can give towards that goal will really go a long way to growing God’s kingdom on earth and making heaven bigger.
So I’m humbly asking you, please prayerfully consider supporting me in my calling and ministry; in this crazy mission God has placed on my heart.
There are several ways you can give your support. The first and best way is to follow this link to my online giving site through Water's Edge (All funds will go directly to supporting me and my ministry, Water’s Edge just holds the account). Put your specified amount in the box labeled "The Station."
There you can give a one time gift or sign up for a recurring monthly pledge to be automatically deducted from the account of your choice.
You can also send a check to:

PO Box 894

PO Box 894

(Please make checks out to Eternity Matters Most and put "Chase Jacobs" in the memo line.)
And please support us with your prayers. Please pray that we can meet our needs and continue this work, please pray that God continues to lead our mission and show us where to go. And most of all please pray that the Lord opens the hearts and ears of the people we’re trying to reach, that they may hear the Good News of a God who is all about their eternity.
Please share with your friends the great news of God’s awesome work in Denton, and please ask them on my behalf to consider supporting this ministry as well. Again, my goal is BIG, $12,000 by the end of the year! It’s going to take a big movement of God’s people to meet this number, but I have no doubt that if we work together we can continue this amazing work of salvation God is doing through The Station.
Peace,
Chase
